Summary

The author describes several practical cases of plant, existing or under construction, that use these new developments: heat recovery in industrial processes using absorption units, a 600 kilowatts Frigopac operating since 1992 in the Aircraft Museum near Munich, an absorption heat pump delivering 7,000 kilowatts designed for the town of Erding (geothermal spring), a refrigerating machine producing 350 kilowatts from very low temperature heat (down to 60 deg C), planned to be constructed in Berlin.
