Summary
The possibility to create alternative air-conditioning systems on the basis of the open absorption cycle (predehumidification of air by a liquid absorbent, evaporative air cooling, solar regeneration of the absorbent) is discussed in the paper. The main schematic developments aimed at the use of solar energy as a heating source (variants with direct and indirect regeneration) are presented.
