Summary
Discusses the need to reconsider the issues concerning the calculation of leaks in ducts and pipes, circular or with differing cross-section with every type of fluid, whether Newtonian or non-Newtonian. The assumption is that the fact of approximation implies inevitable errors which are no longer acceptable errors. It is therefore necessary to examine the mathematical aspects of this issue in order to achieve greater accuracy in determine such pressure drops.
