Summary
Since 2000, Johnson Controls used the hydrocarbons R1270 and R290 as the refrigerant in water chillers for application in the air-conditioning and light industrial sectors. 8 years of experiences in this field permitted the development of a standard range of air-cooled chillers, using the natural refrigerant R290, with a capacity from 95 till 340 kW.
