Summary

The physical phenomenon of noise as a source of undesirable sounds emanating as a consequence of vibrations acting on the human hearing organ was presented in the paper. The kinds of vibration of elastic body particles in terms of the frequency was discussed in the paper, i.e. audible sound, ultrasound and infrasound. A close attention has been paid to the physical aspects of sound wave propagation along with acoustic resonance. The kind and model of sound waves were discussed. Sound intensity and sound power were also defined.
