THE FILMS OF VARIOUS GEOMETRIES DISPLAY ELECTROMAGNETIC OSCILLATIONS OF FREQUENCY 1 TO 5 MEGAHERTZ. FOR SAMPLES WHICH ARE < NARROW > COMPARED TO DEPTH OF PENETRATION OF LONGITUDINAL ELECTRIC FIELD, THE GENERATION CURRENT DENSITY EXTRAPOLATED T = 0 IS ABOUT 950,000 A/CM2 AND FOR < BROAD > ONES IT IS AROUND 600,000 A/CM2. A HIGH RESPONSE OF THE GENERATION FREQUENCY TO CURRENT AND TEMPERATURE CAN BE OBSERVED.
