Summary

The ability to develop a remote data driven only screening methodology for identifying poorly performing condensers within large retail refrigeration pack estates, presents a major opportunity to achieve significant energy savings in an environment where asset volumes may run into several thousand, with subsequent very large energy footprints. This paper presents such a practical data driven modelling approach, and will attempt, through an number of examples, show that the application of the presented signal processing algorithms of the AMR meter usage data alone can give the user a very effective screening means of identifying anomalous condenser performance in large equipment estates.
