Summary

A modeling approach of a magnetocaloric heat pump for predicting its performances has been developed. In this model, the heat pump is modeled through a magnetic regenerator. The latter includes the magnetocaloric effect on the material and the specific case of an oscillating fluid flow. This leads to the evaluation of the efficiencies of the heat pump for different operating conditions.
