THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION IN AIR-CONDITIONING, HEATING AND VENTIL ATION PLANTS CAN BE SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED IF THE ENERGY IS SUPPLIED TO OCCUPIED ROOMS ONLY. THIS IS POSSIBLE WITHOUT DECREASING THE THERMAL COMFORT. ROOM OCCUPANCY IS RECORDED WITH A PROBE WHICH REACTS TO THE PRESENCE OF ONE OR SEVERAL PERSONS IN THE ROOM.
