On installation of refrigeration systems on fishing boats in Vietnam.
Author(s) : NGUYEN VAN TAI
Summary
At present, in Vietnam, the majority of fishing boats of tonnage from 45 to 65 tons is using a simple method of ice storage for fish preservation. For each sea going trip, the whole tonnage of ice must be kept onboard with energy and bacteriology drawbacks and melting of ice before fishing. Two solutions are proposed: study of refrigeration systems for ice preservation to reduce the onboard ice quantity to be carried; design of flake ice machines from sea water on the fishing boats.
