Summary

THE VARIATIONS OF THE SYSTEM PARAMETERS AND FACTORS WHICH AFFECT ENERGY CONVERSION DURING ON-OFF OPERATION WERE ANALYZED. IT WAS FOUND THAT PREVENTING THE REFRIGERANT FROM MIGRATING DURING SHUT-DOWN IMPROVES THE START-UP TRANSIENT CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SYSTEM AND RESULTS IN ENERGY SAVINGS. A MATHEMATICAL MODEL IN OFF OPERATION WAS DEVELOPED. THE ENERGY LOSSES RESULTING FROM REFRIGERANT MIGRATION DURING OFF OPERATION WERE CALCULATED.
