Summary
A series of 36 annotated diagrams explains the operation and performances of the scroll compressor by comparison with the reciprocating compressor. Operation at a condensing pressure which is different from its nominal value is explained, with its effect on efficiency. Finally the effort generated by the two types of machines are compared. J.L.
