Summary

THE COMBINED REGENERATION MOTOR VUILLEUMIER CYCLE WAS USED AS A BASIS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF A HEAT PUMP OPERATING WITH HELIUM UNDER PRESSURE. THE HEAT INTRODUCED INTO THE HIGH TEMPERATURE CYLINDER IS USED FOR INCREASING THE HEAT SUPPLIED AT A LOWER TEMPERATURE IN THE SECOND CYLINDER CONNECTED TO THE FIRST. THE AUTHORS GIVE DATA ON THE MANUFACTURE, THE PERFORMANCE AND RESULTS OF TESTS DURING WHICH HEAT GAIN COEFFICIENTS RANGING BETWEEN 1.6 AND 1.8 WERE OBTAINED AT THE FIRST ATTEMPT. THE SAME SYSTEM CAN BE USED FOR A REFRIGERATION OR AN AIR CONDITIONING PLANT.
