Opinion poll: chilled ceilings with displacement ventilation or mixing ventilation?
[In German. / En allemand.]
Author(s) : FINKELSTEIN W., et al.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The article presents the opinions of several experts about the relative merits of combining chilled ceilings with displacement ventilation or mixing ventilation. It highlights one contribution which illustrates the results of tests in air flow laboratory comparing the temperature distribution in a test room after 1, 30 and 120 minutes with a combination of a chilled ceiling with isothermal displacement ventilation, with mixing ventilation and without ventilation. It concludes in favour of swirl diffusers rather than displacement ventilation outlets.
