Chilled ceilings and displacement ventilation in the office environment.
Author(s) : BENNETT K., EAGLES N., ALAMDARI F.
Type of article: Periodical article
Summary
The principal aim of the study was to investigate whether the air flow in an office space ventilated by low-level terminals is of displacement air flow when additional cooling is provided at ceiling level by chilled water devices, such as chilled beams or chilled panels, to offset thermal loads. Describes the physical modelling arrangement and the numerical modelling procedure.
