Optimal design of liquid desiccant cooling systems.

Summary

Liquid desiccant cooling systems are being studied as an alternative to conventional vapour compression refrigeration systems. A design optimization of these systems has been carried out that minimizes the life-cycle costs under the given constraints. It has been found that if waste heat is available, liquid systems could be a viable alternative to conventional cooling systems.
