OPTIMAL PARAMETERS IN A COOLING SYSTEM USING AN EJECTOR.

Summary

A TRITHERM SYSTEM, IN WHICH COMPRESSOR IS REPLACED BY A REFRIGERANT EJECTOR, WITH A 6 KILOW BOILER POWER, IS TESTED IN DIFFERENT CONDITIONS. THE FLOW IN THE PRIMARY NOZZLE IS ALWAYS SUPERSONIC, WHILE THE SECONDARY FLOW MAY BE SUBSONIC OR SUPERSONIC. EXPERIMENTS SHOW THAT THE LOW TEMPERATURE REQUIRED FOR BOILER: 338 TO 348 K (65 TO 75 DEG C) IS COMPATIBLE FOR UTILIZATIONS WITH SOLAR ENERGY AND LOW GRADE HEAT. IN THE FIELD OF COOLING OR AIR CONDITIONING, SYSTEM EFFICIENCY IS ABOUT 0.35, WITH EVAPORATOR AND CONDENSER TEMPERATURES OF 278 AND 298 K (5 AND 25 DEG C).
