Experimental investigation and modelling of low-pressure ejection refrigeration cycle.

Summary

The paper deals with modelling and experimentation related to the application of a single-phase vapour ejector in refrigeration systems. Particularly very interesting is the case with a low temperature motive heat source which may be applied for solar air-conditioning units. The testing rig, and selected test results are presented. The own approach for modelling of the ejection cycle is presented. This approach is based on the formulation of the performance of the ejector and determination of the system performance characteristics lines. The operation point of the ejection refrigeration system is predicted as intercept of these two lines. Sample calculations based on this approach are presented.
