Summary

THE AUTHOR DEALS WITH THE MAINTENANCE OF THE NOMINAL TEMPERATURE REQUIRED IN REFRIGERATION PLANT, WITH AS LOW AS POSSIBLE ENERGY REQUIREMENTS. HE SURVEYS THE COMPONENTS AND DEVICES OF THE REFRIGERATION PLANT AND SUCCESSIVELY DISCUSSES THE OPTIMISATION OF COOLING LOADS AND OF HEAT EXTRACTION BY EVAPORATION OF THE REFRIGERANT, REPORTING THE VARIOUS MEASURES TO BE TAKEN FOR OBTAINING THE DESIRED RESULTS. THE PRACTICAL PROBLEMS OF THE DESIGN OF PLANT ARE DISCUSSED IN CONCLUSION. R.R.
