Optimisation of refrigeration plants based on partitioned and decentralised control instances.

Author(s) : DIEHL A., BECKER M.

Summary

The paper describes a new automation concept for single stage compression plants. 'Physical process decoupling' and partitioning of the automation system are the basis of the developed modular and decentralised automation concept. The concept is suitable for any single stage compression plant, especially highly complex systems with electronic expansion valves, speed controlled compressors or compound systems. Control accuracy as well as energy consumption is optimised.
