Summary

The size of the capillary tube used in the new tandem double-capillary tube refrigeration system of a chest refrigerator, was optimized by means of the available energy analysis and performance experiment. The experimental results show that the energy consumption of the chest refrigerator decreases first and then increases with the increase of the length and the decrease of inner diameter of the second capillary tube if the size of the first capillary tube has been determined.
