Optimization of thermal performance in heat pump’s borehole heat exchanger.

Number: pap. n. 451

Author(s) : BIALKO B., SANDLER S., KROLICKI Z., et al.

Summary

The paper discusses a method to improve conditions of heat transfer in U-type vertical ground probe (borehole heat exchanger) used by vapor-compression heat pumps. Proposed design modifications and a new laying method were tested in real conditions. Experimental results of temperature distribution and thermal efficiency are compared with literature data reported by manufacturers and installers of geothermal probes.
