Optimized design for solar cooling with absorption refrigeration units.
Optimierte Anlagenschaltung zur solaren Kühlung mit Absorptionskältetechnik.

Type of article: Article
Summary
The simulation results indicate that the analysed system can almost completely deliver the necessary heat in the form of solar energy, while refrigeration requirements can only be 55-100% satisfied. The optimal design for solar cooling gives a reduction of primary-energy use and thus of CO2 emissions (over 75%). The cost-effectiveness of the plant depends in the first place on climatic conditions. Solar cooling can already be applied economically in Southern Europe.
