Summary

Overview of the topics investigated in Kim's PhD thesis on solar absorption cooling. The most economically attractive solar cooling systems are investigated. The best solution for air-cooled sorption cooling systems is identified as the half-effect LiBr-H2O absorption cycle in combination with flat-plate solar collectors. An experimental set-up is designed, constructed and used to collect experimental data.
