Summary

Mathematical programming formulation of optimum working fluid selection for arbitrary substance classes is presented. Working fluid identification is based on the conception of the information characteristics of the substance, e.g. critical parameters of state, by which its thermodynamic and phase behaviour can be restored. Conventional solar ejector refrigeration system is used as an application example. Results of selection are discussed and possible refrigerant candidatures are recommended.
