Summary
The paper introduces the kinds and properties of organic solvents available as refrigerants in refrigerators. Most organic working fluids consist of multi-component solvents. When their properties are unknown, prediction methods may be used. For the choice of brine in design of heat transfer equipments such as heat exchangers, refrigerators and so on, environmental effects, safety and chemical structural stability as well as appropriate physical properties should be significant factors.
