Summary
The supply air volume of diffusers always varies between maximum volume and minimum volume, when a variable air volume (VAV) system is operating. If a diffuser is not selected properly, it will lead to non-uniformity of room temperature, ADPI less than 80 percent and comfort sensation decreasing in the air-conditioned zones. This article analyses the air distribution of VAV systems in some unfavourable conditions. It gives some design points and selecting methods of supply air diffusers of VAV systems.
