Summary
The authors use two kinds of chillers as examples, and sum up the characteristics for semi-hermetic reciprocal type and semi-hermetic screw type units. They analyze the performance of units at variable temperatures and at variable refrigerating capacities and considers that the refrigerating capacity, input power and COP are similar, but the COP for screw type units is higher than that of reciprocal type units by 0.5.
