Summary

The cooling capacity is the most important of the many indices for evaluating ice storage systems. One must make practical use of this large cooling capacity in order to supplement for its efficiency during ice-making, which is inferior to that of cooled water storage systems. In this report the author evaluates the performance of ice storage tank based on model analyses applied to the equipment for a dynamic type ice storage system employing supercooled water.
