Performance investigation on high capacity pulse tube cryocoolers operating at 80-100 K.

Number: pap. ID: 617

Author(s) : DANG H., WANG L., YANG K.

Summary

A series of single-stage high frequency coaxial PTCs operating at 80-100 K have been developed and tested. At present, the typical performance is to provide a 10 W of cooling power at 90 K with a 176 W of electric input power at 310 K reject temperature. The optimizations on the dimensional parameters and phase shifting mechanism are discussed in detail, and some key factors influencing the performance have been identified.
