Theoretical analysis of a pulse tube regenerator.

Summary

Assuming simple sinusoidal oscillations, the static and oscillary pressures, velocities and temperatures have been determined for a model that includes a compressible gas and imperfect thermal contact between the gas and the regenerator matri. Suggestions for optimizing the design of a regenerator are given.
