Performance of an ejection-compression system for cogeneration of cold and heat.

Summary

Several industrial sectors (food, chemical, pharmaceutical) require the use of cold and heat simultaneously. These needs can be achieved by using a cooling ejector cycle coupled to a compression heat pump. In this work, the influence of the thermodynamic parameters and fluid nature on the performances of the hybrid system is studied. The results obtained show that this system presents interesting performances. This improvement is due to the energy regaining of the ejection system and to the decrease in temperature between the evaporators and the condensers.
