Summary
FOR A 70 KILOW GENERATOR OF AN ABSORPTION REFRIGERATING MACHINE POWERED BY THE HOT WATER, THE LIQUID LIFT RATE OF THE BUBBLE PUMP HAS A MAXIMUM VALUE AT SOME VAPOUR FLOW RATE OF REFRIGERANT AND HOT WATER INLET TEMPERATURE. THIS IS IN AGREEMENT WITH RESULTS OF SMALL SIZE BUBBLE LIFT PUMPS. THE MAXIMUM LIQUID LIFT RATE IS CORRELATED BY AN EQUATION WHICH INCLUDES A FACTOR FOR THE DEGREE OF SUBMERGENCE. THE DIAMETER OF THE PUMP TUBE WAS 41. 6 MM, AND LENGTHS WERE 1,300 AND 1,500 MM. THE RANGE OF HOT WATER INLET TEMPERATURE WAS 351-373 K (78-100 DEG C). MULTITUBE HEAT FLUX OF THE FIRST GENERATOR IS ABOUT TWICE THAT OF THE SECOND GENERATOR AT THE SAME SUPERHEAT.
