Performance study or a heat-regenerative adsorption refrigerator and heat pump.

Summary

A heat regenerative adsorption refrigerator using spiral plate heat exchangers as adsorbers and an adsorption heat pump for air conditioning using plate fin heat exchangers as adsorbers are developed and researched. An activated carbon-methanol adsorption pair is used for the two adsorption systems, which yield a specific cooling power density of more than 2.6 kg-ice/kg-adsorbent per day and 150 watts/kg-adsorbent for air conditioning respectively.
