BY USING A NEW TYPE OF FROST DETECTOR, THE AUTHORS FOLLOWED THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE OPERATING PARAMETERS OF AN AIR-WATER HEAT PUMP DURING FROSTING. THE REAL TIME FOLLOW-UP OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THESE PARAMETERS AND THE FROST INDICATOR MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO OPTIMIZE THE THRESHOLD OF STARTING AND STOPPING DEFROSTING PROCESSES, ON ONE HAND, IMPROVING ENERGETIC PERFORMANCES AND, ONTHE OTHER HAND, INCREASING THE RELIABILITY OF THE DEVICES.
