Summary

THE PAPER DEALS WITH THE HOMOLOGATION OF REFRIGERATED TRANSPORT VEHICLES USING EUTECTIC PLATES, ACCORDING TO THE ATP AGREEMENT. AS OPPOSED TO MECHANICALLY REFRIGERATED VEHICLES, THE AGREEMENT DOES NOT TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THE POSSIBILITY OF HOMOLOGATING A VEHICLE AS A WHOLE ON THE BASIS OF TWO SEPARATE HOMOLOGATIONS OF THE INSULATED STRUCTURE AND THE REFRIGERATING INSTALLATION. TO MAKE THIS POSSIBLE, THE AUTHORS SUGGEST A TESTING PROCEDURE AIMED AT FINDING THE MAXIMUM VALUE FOR THE HEAT TRANSMISSION COEFFICIENT OF AN INSULATED VEHICLE CONSISTENT WITH A DEFINED REFRIGERATING INSTALLATION: SUCH A PROCEDURE SIMULATES DIFFERENT INSULATION PERFORMANCES BY IMPOSING DIFFERENT INTERNAL HEAT LOADS.
