Summary

A cryocooler-cooled and thermally controlled type persistent current switch using copper-nickel/niobium-titanium superconductor for a cryogen-free superconducting magnet has been investigated. This persistent current switch was combined with the cryogen-free niobium-titanium superconducting magnet, and the authors succeeded in generating a magnetic field of 5.0 T under persistent current operation.
