THE PREDICTION OF POSSIBLE PHASE BEHAVIOUR IN BINARY FLUID MIXTURES IS DISCUSSED IN THE CONTEXT OF THE SCOTT AND VAN KONYNENBERG SCHEME. THE CORRESPONDING STATES ONE-FLUID MODEL FOR LENNARD-JONES MIXTURES GIVES QUALITATIVE AGREEMENT WITH EXPERIMENT.
