Summary
The article is aimed to give advice on the dimensioning of refrigeration units, which will run with Solkane refrigerants. The tables serve for the dimensioning of horizontal suction, discharge and liquid lines and for vertical suction and discharge lines as well. Valves and fittings are usually incorporated into pressure drop calculations by using an equivalent length value. This equivalent length is added to the length of the tube of the calculated section. Pressure drop is then calculated for the total resulting length.
