Pool boiling heat transfer. 2. Thickness of liquid macrolayer formed beneath vapour masses.
Author(s) : KUMADA T., SAKASHITA H.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The critical heat flux and the detachment frequency were measured on 20 mm diameter horizontal and vertical heated disks at pressures of 0.03-0.4 megapascal with water, ethanol, methanol and acetone. Two semi-empirical correlations are proposed.
