In Poland, according to the National Health Fund (NFZ) data, the number of reimbursed cryochamber treatments in MS patients remains stable, i.e. about 14,239 services in the group of MS patients out of the total number of about 641,737 per year. This kind of therapy is financed by NFZ as a guaranteed benefit and included by NFZ in the Coordinated Care Programme for MS Patients. The Polish MS Society recommends systemic cryotherapy for people with MS, new NFZ regulations included cryochamber procedures in the catalogue of comprehensive specialist care services for patients with MS.
