Type of article: Article
Summary
Describes briefly the structure of ceiling cooling systems and discusses their use. Discusses their effect on energy consumption. Describes comparative numerical investigations of six combinations of cooling ceilings and ventilation systems. Presents the results and concentrates on overall energy costs. Concludes that ceiling cooling systems with a high radiant proportion and a low average temperature difference between the cooling medium and the ceiling coating offer the possibility of a high level of comfort and a reduction in overall energy costs. Presents a summary of the results.
