Possibilities of the utilization of cold: the low-temperature waste energy in refrigeration.
Author(s) : ZAKRZEWSKI B., LOKIETEK T.
Summary
The idea of low-temperature waste energy referred to as "cold" is introduced in the paper. The estimation of resources of cold in refrigerating systems is discussed. A fundamental resource of cold in domestic and commercial refrigerators, cold stores or transport refrigerating systems is the accumulation of frost on the surface of the heat source's heat exchangers. Potential possibilities of the utilization of waste cold to increase the energy efficiency of refrigerating systems are presented subsequently.
