Summary
In 20% of the cases, users rate their practical experiences with defrosting sensors as "poor". This appears from a survey conducted by the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research TNO. The problems encountered with the sensors are diverse in character and also depend on the principle employed. It is possible to conceive solutions to eliminate the occurrence of problems with currently employed defrosting sensors. In conjunction with several external experts, TNO looked for possible improvements.
