THE MOST RELEVANT PARAMETERS IN THE DEFROSTING PROCESS ARE IDENTIFIED. EXPERIMENTAL DATA ARE SHOWN FOR THE DEFROSTING TIME AND DEFROSTING EFFICIENCY OF ONE AIR COOLER WITH 3 DIFFERENT DEFROSTING SYSTEMS. THE EFFECT ON THE EFFECTIVE COOLING CAPACITY IS ALSO SHOWN AND ECONOMIC CONSIDERATIONS ARE DEVELOPED.
