Prediction of forced convective condensation characteristics of new alternatives to R502 inside water/refrigerant enhanced surface tubing.
Author(s) : SAMI S. M., POIRIER B.
Summary
An experimental study on the heat transfer characteristics of two-phase flow condensation of alternative refrigerant mixtures to R502 is presented. The test section was a horizontal, enhanced surface tubing in a water-to-refrigerant heat exchanger setup. Correlations were proposed to predict condensation heat transfer characteristics. For R404A, R507, R408A, and a quaternary blend, R32/R125/R143a/R134a, the proposed correlations predicted the heat transfer characteristics with a deviation of less than more or less 20%.
