Summary
An intelligent air conditioner in operation is controlled for the purpose of thermal comfort of the occupants, while the PMV index appraises the thermal comfort of human beings in conditioned environments as an international standard. So, prediction of the PMV index is essential for control of intelligent air conditioners. The paper demonstrates how an artificial neural network can be used for predicting the PMV index.
