Summary

Solar energy is expected as energy source that will constitute the core of the global energy utilization of full-scale practical use in the 21st century. The paper describes the present situation, the subjects and the future view of the solar heat energy utilization, such as the solar thermal system, the desiccant cooling system and the solar thermal power generation system and the solar light energy utilization, such as the photovoltaic cell and photovoltaic power generation system.
