Summary
In this paper a new regulation established by the European Union is presented. The regulation concerns reduction of environmentally damaging substances. For these reasons, the authors take into consideration the potential ability of using waste heat for driving absorption refrigerating systems (also used in air conditioning) instead of typical compressor refrigerators. The proposition of application ice slurry in the systems as cooling medium with heat storage thanks to the ice is suggested as a possible solution.
