Pressure drop prediction in two-phase flow of refrigerants and other working fluids in pipe and pipe components.

Author(s) : PALIWODA A.

Summary

Pressure drop prediction in adiabatic two-phase flow in pipes and arbitrary pipe components proves to be a simple and exact procedure that can be carried out with nearly the same facility and accuracy as with single-phase flow. The procedure covers also single-phase flow as a particular case of two-phase flow. The accuracy of the method is superior by the factor of 1.55 to the well known and commonly used Lockhart and Martinelli correlation. Besides the method is more simple and easy in use.
